A few minutes of this, and a few minutes of that.

My days are slipping by and all of the sudden I find myself out of the routine of blogging and getting my baby book project back on track.   I know I am not alone.  All moms are busy regardless of whether they have one child or four (god bless you).   Complaining never helps solve the problem, but I have a trick that helps me get back on track: set a deadline.   (more…)

Yesterday I tried two new things.  I took a F.I.T. class taught by Michele Canon and Sandra Dasaad and I “edited” my first video for the website.   Click the video above to see what this story is all about.  I was extremely excited to take this mom-oriented outdoor fitness class.  I have known Michele and her husband for 10 years now.  I was lucky enough to meet Sandra for the first time last week.  I thought my readers would enjoy hearing the story behind their Team F.I.T. classes because they had to get creative about pursuing their passions and they are a great example of moms who worked their personal goals into a lifestyle that accommodates their responsibilities as parents. How did I get here? And, where am I going?

For those of you who miss seeing my interviews with amazing moms…I am working on one for this week.  Stay tuned.  In the meantime:

She who fails to plan, plans to fail.

If you want to reach the goals you set- you HAVE to have a plan.  But, I want to back up a little.  A couple of weeks ago, I asked you to write down your goals on my blog.  If you are too shy to share your goals, then just get out a piece of paper and write it down for yourself.  The reason you need to write your goals, is so that you can get a clear picture in your head of exactly what you want to do.  Break your list into short and long term goals.  Now comes the hard part:  if you want to achieve success, you need to develop a plan.

I am going to share one of my plans and share the story of one of my readers who posted a goal.

Since I plan to release my online baby book this year, I have to commit at least 8 hours a week to finish content, design and business details of the book. (more…)

If I Had My Life to Live Over

by Erma Bombeck

The following was written by the late Erma Bombeck
after she found out she had a fatal disease.

If I had my life to live over, I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the ‘good’ living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. (more…)
